We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team . This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen!
Our Legacy Lodge Banquet Kitchen Cooks prepare outstanding food as part of our commitment to delivering the best dining experience to our guests possible. This person will work closely with the Sous Chef in the banquet kitchen preparing breakfast items, appetizers, salads, platters, buffets and desserts according to the event menu and will work closely with the front-of-the-house teams to ensure food is of the highest quality and freshness when it is delivered to guest event or displayed on buffet
Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.

Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies for production by station
Reviews Banquet Event Orders and other communications in order to be prepared for the shift’s production.
Prepares cold food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, marinating, slicing and preparing sauces and garnishes; presenting for buffets or individual service using approved techniques.
Cooks hot food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, steaming, roasting and other cooking methods specified
Cooks to order on stations with live guest interaction preparing such items as omelet and waffles, carving, pastas and stir fry.
Bakes breakfast pastries, muffins, biscuits and breads
Ensures all food is prepared and served in a timely, organized and efficient way
Presents food using proper plate, platter and chafing dish layout
Maintains clean and safe food station and complies with sanitation requirements by properly handling food, cooking utensils, work tables and equipment
Checks and maintains coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food
Actively communicates with all associates during shift as affects the quality of the guest experience
Assists other cooks in preparing food or helps other team members when needed
What are we looking for?
Must have strong experience in a fine dining kitchen, ideally a catering kitchen;
Must have excellent knife skills and cooking techniques, ideally with experience in cooking exceptional food for very large groups
Understanding of advanced cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Work well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
1+ years' experience as Prep Cook, Catering Cook or similar role in a commercial kitchen
Basic written and verbal communication skills
High school diploma or GED
Certificate or Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
