The Program Manager will spearhead implementation and performance of assigned programs and services across BV divisions to support the manufacturing and industrial market. The Program Manager is responsible for launching and building BV’s manufacturing and industrial programs, overseeing the operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate to strategically develop a plan for the manufacturing and industrial market (ideally food manufacturing and production facility experience).

  • Experience scoping, developing, and managing open facility upgrade projects of varying sizes and at multiploe locations.

  • Assists team to manage every aspect of the lifecycle of the program including consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, internal departments, and developers.

  • Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Executes proposal development of client and project/program specific scopes of work and direct interface with sales staff to assure client’s expectations and needs are met.

  • Utilizes web-based project management tools.

  • Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (50% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S.

  • Must dictate to the team the program’s standards and procedures.

  • Serves as the main point-of-contact with client during the execution of projects and programs. Prepares progress reports to share with client. Assures client satisfaction and goals are met through timely responsiveness and feedback. Attends meetings with Sales team and client.

  • Facilitates communication across work streams and projects to minimize disruption to the organization of program/project implementation.

  • Responsible for managing programs within budget and on-time, while providing high client satisfaction. This includes managing budget, potential risk, client communication, change orders, and report delivery.

  • Manages field staff and staff’s schedule.

  • Involved in developing new service offerings.

  • Creates and develops report templates.

  • Responsible for proposal development of client and project specific scopes of work.

  • Directly interfaces with sales staff to assure client expectations are being met. Serves as an available consultative resource for clients and may participate in sales calls or presentations.

  • Performs technical reviews of deliverables for technical accuracy, client expectations, compliance of scope and consistency.

  • Reviews and evaluates work progress, identifies problems, and provides technical direction and guidance to assigned staff.

  • Acts as technical lead, providing guidance and technical direction for field staff.

  • Supports the department’s recruiting activities through resume review, phone screens, interviews, and selection of candidates for field staff roles.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary action.

  • Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.

  • Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.

  • Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.

  • Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.

  • Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises employees on the team in a direct reporting relationship. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree in Construction, Architecture or Engineering, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing Design-Build construction projects in manufacturing and industrial industries.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in managingdirect reports in a supervisory role.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified.

  • Valid driver's license isrequiredwith no significant MVA points/violations.

  • Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work from a remote location.

  • Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.

  • Ability to travel, on average, up to 50% of time to client sites and offices across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on the project location. Overnight stays away from home may be required.

  • Must be energized and excited about the manufacturing and industrial market space and have a strong desire to grow the business.

  • Demonstrated experienceanalyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information.

  • Stellar communication, presentation, interpersonal, writing skills, and experience presenting to small and large audiences.

  • Experience with governmental agencies at all levels as well as regulatory filings.

  • Knowledge of construction components, process and methodologies required.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with BV employees and customers.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
