Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers is currently seeking an engineering student for a summer 2025 internship to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the successful candidate will learn to design overhead transmission line and substation structures, foundations, and their related facilities.

In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:

  • Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.

  • Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.

  • Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it.

Required Education/Experience

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

  • The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members.

  • Candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry.

  • Candidate is legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.

Desired Education/Experience

  • Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.

  • Previous internship experience, especially if related to the industry is desirable.

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is desired.
