Chief Nursing Officer - Administration

Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital located in the heart of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. In addition to the hospital, the facility has 3 rural health clinics and an attached 39 bed Long Term Care facility. Helen Newberry Joy invites applications for the full-time position of Chief Nursing Officer. The CNO is responsible for nursing operations of the facility and serves as a key member of the executive team and senior management. We are seeking a strong, self-motivated leader with vision and the ability to gain commitment of others. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and must work effectively with administration, managers/supervisors, medical staff, Board of Trustees, and third party contractors, vendors, and purchasers of healthcare services.

  Position Requirements:

• State of Michigan RN license in good standing.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's in management or health administration a plus.

• Masters Degree in Nursing, public health or health administration or closely related field preferred.

• 5-7 years of clinical nursing experience and 2 - 3 years' experience in managing people required; Critical Access Hospital and Long Term Care experience is a plus.

• Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
