Chief Nursing Officer - Administration
Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital located in the heart of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. In addition to the hospital, the facility has 3 rural health clinics and an attached 39 bed Long Term Care facility. Helen Newberry Joy invites applications for the full-time position of Chief Nursing Officer. The CNO is responsible for nursing operations of the facility and serves as a key member of the executive team and senior management. We are seeking a strong, self-motivated leader with vision and the ability to gain commitment of others. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and must work effectively with administration, managers/supervisors, medical staff, Board of Trustees, and third party contractors, vendors, and purchasers of healthcare services.

Excellent knowledge of and commitment to the principles and practice of continuous quality improvement.
Must have the ability to perform a latitude of projects at one time, maintain high organization, and be accountable for continued progress.
Strong leadership skills with vision and the ability to gain commitment of others.
Position Requirements:
State of Michigan RN license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's in management or health administration a plus.
Masters Degree in Nursing, public health or health administration or closely related field preferred.
5-7 years of clinical nursing experience and 2 - 3 years' experience in managing people required; Critical Access Hospital and Long Term Care experience is a plus.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
