The Finance Systems & Processes Team is part of the Corporate Finance Organization and focuses in managing and enhancing the ecosystem of Cloud Applications that covers all business processes and operations of the Finance Organization globally across all Progress Entities, ensuring seamless and efficient financial management.

The Team is responsible for the implementation, integration, and maintenance of the Finance Systems across all business units and locations, working closely with cross-functional Teams, including IT, Accounting and Finance, Sales. It plays a substantial role in driving operational excellence, ensuring the integrity of financial data, improving financial controls, and supporting the overall financial management objectives of the Corporate Finance Organization.

Collaboration is a core aspect of the Team’s work. It liaises with stakeholders across different departments and regions to gather requirements, implement solutions, provide support, and address any issues related to financial systems and processes. Constant goal for the Team is to stay up to date with emerging application technologies and industry trends in finance systems to ensure the organization remains innovative and efficient.

In this role, you will:

  • Taking part in all stages of an end-to-end implementation of new Applications or enhancements to existing financial business processes (Revenue, Budgeting, T&E, Tax Applications) or integrating new Companies in the M&A strategy execution.

  • Develop and execute test scenarios to simulate and test the new or enhanced business processes.

  • Develop documentation for: Application functional design, requirements specification, process workflows, test plans, scripts & scenarios for unit testing and UAT, reporting and visualization of data.

  • Take part in cross-functional integration projects with other Progress Organizations (Sales, IT, Audit, etc.) where the Finance/Finance Systems domain is interested in or required.

  • Provide innovative functional solutions to identified gaps in functionality based on business requirements and the general ability to troubleshoot issues.

  • Work directly with users to understand the individual needs of the business and create functional specifications.

  • Develop clear and concise training materials, including presentations and how to guides to educate users on the functionality and best practices of the financial systems and processes.

  • Ongoing support of the finance systems:

    o Support the functional and technical operability of the Financial Systems. o Problem solving - analyzing system’s issues, identifying appropriate troubleshooting, implement solution or workaround, independently or with the assistance of the respective system's vendors. o Finance and accounting period-end support – reporting, reconciliation, closing procedures supervision. o Implement new business cases, change requests for functional enhancements and process optimizations, custom controls, and validations.

Your background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with preferred IT industry domain-specific knowledge and experience.

  • Knowledge of the major finance, accounting, and compliance standards.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Great written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident communication across multiple Teams and levels of the Organizational structure.

  • Inventive thinking in the path of a solution.

  • Creativity and independence in all stages of the implementation projects and tasks.

  • Oracle Financial Applications knowledge is a plus.

  • Project management experience a plus.
