Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) (https://positions.paylocity.com/PositionManagement/wizard/2033539) seeks a talentedBi-lingual Community Educatorto contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. TheBi-lingual Community Educatorwill be responsible for coordinating and implementing prevention education programs to increase awareness of child abuse and other threats to child safety in our community. The program’s goal is to empower and equip children to understand how abuse occurs and how to engage with adults to get help. This is done by educating school-age children in classrooms about the steps they can take to recognize and prevent child abuse. This position will work directly with students in the Rochester City School District as well as building professionals.

CCSI is partnering with Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester to hire aBi-Lingual Community Educator.This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester.

In this role, you will be

  • Providing educational programming to children in classrooms using structured curriculum material. Utilize a trauma-informed approach while interacting with children around sensitive topics, including child sexual abuse.

  • Adhering to education best practices and prevention strategies to continually improve and enhance program offerings.

  • Engaging in education related to child abuse prevention and curriculum topics to enhance personal knowledge.

  • Facilitating student learning assessments.

  • Collecting data and reporting.

  • Attending meetings as needed.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager of Community Education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, health, or a related field and a minimum of one year of experience in training and/or education, teaching, youth development, or community outreach.

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) is required.

  • Background knowledge of child abuse is a plus.

  • Knowledge of child development is strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.

  • Travel will be as needed between different locations in Rochester, NY, to execute job duties successfully. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and have reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites when needed.

Salary Description

$33 per hour
