King's Seafood Company Backhaul Driver in United States
The Backhaul Driver picks up the product needed for plant production from vendors throughout the Southern California area. They maintain an organized and efficient route and ensure all health and safety standards are maintained during the course of their shift. They always interact with vendors in a professional, courteous, and assertive manner when receiving product.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age
Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
High School graduate/GED
Clean MVR: Class C Driver’s License and no DUI convictions within last 7 years
Previous commercial truck driving experience (at least 1 year)
Ability to plan/alter routes in Southern California area during shift
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Validate product quality and order accuracy when receiving product
Gather POs for shift and plan route
Follow all state driving rules and regulations
Inspect truck prior to shift
Communicate with plant regarding product or route issues
Empty trucks from previous night’s pickup
Receive product at KSD: Complete necessary receiving paperwork and weigh, ice, store all product
Miscellaneous truck and plant maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to management
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs; 20-30 is typical
Ability to carry up to 150 feet
Ability to reach up to 6 feet; typical is 2-6 feet
Ability to drive a commercial truck for up to 10-12 hours; 6-8 is typical
