Amazon Associate Program Manager, Home Design Team in Virtual, United States

Description

The Home Design Team is a team of Program Managers and Catalog Specialists that are trained in Interior Design. We leverage our business acumen and design expertise to deliver creative solutions and program management support for Amazon’s Generative AI, Machine Learning, and 3D Visualization initiatives.

We are looking for a highly skilled Program Manager to plan, build, and manage innovative shopping experiences helping customers browse products in immersive, visually rich environments.

This role requires scoping and creating project plans and goals, developing efficient processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.

The position will be part of an exciting, fast moving and growing team. The ideal candidate has experience in program or product management in an interior design, photography, videography or design-related field. They are highly analytical, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are able to deliver on multiple projects in parallel. They are able to move quickly, spot risks, ask the right questions, clear blockers, and deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop program goals and project plans

  • Set the highest standards for efficiency and effectiveness in cross-functional operations

  • Track deliverables against work back schedules to ensure on time delivery

  • Communicate team progress to broader organization and to leadership

  • Manage a team of internal contractors and drive collective progress and results

  • Perform QA and compliance checks for customer-facing products and develop mechanisms to scale audits

  • Influence partner teams to enhance tools and systems based on program findings

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business “by the numbers”; strong skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) and experience writing and editing SQL queries

  • Experience working in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Furniture Design, Visual Merchandising or product Marketing

  • Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of managing and troubleshooting technical and business integration projects

  • Strong process definition and optimization skills; proven ability to define effective, efficient, and scalable processes and drive continuous improvement through root cause identification and defect elimination

  • Experience with 3D Visualization, ASIN selection, strategic planning

  • Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management

  • Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record of developing high quality interior design rooms and renders

  • Relentless customer focus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
