Responsibilities

Summary :Responsible for processing high volume international and/or multi-state biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls. This includes validating new hire information, entering and maintaining timesheet data, generating customized payroll reports, processing special payments, and bonuses. The goal of this position is to ensure that all payroll functions are completed accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Process international and/or multi-state payroll for hourly and salary employees; including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance systems.

  • Prepare and upload adjustments and other miscellaneous files into third party payroll systems, e.g., bonus, retro payments, benefit arrears and severance.

  • Process garnishment refunds and new order submissions to third party payroll provider.

  • Execute all payroll transactions according to established schedules to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and timely.

  • Utilize Payroll Processing check lists to ensure all transactions and audits are performed.

  • Process off-cycle payment requests as needed.

  • Assist with maintaining payroll files.

  • Act as subject matter expert and main point of contact for general payroll related inquiries.

  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Strong problem-solving ability with consideration of SOX audit requirements

  • May assume other duties as applied.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience with Alight and Workday preferred.

  • Previous experience working in a remote environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to collaborate with functional teams

  • High attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks

Physical Role Requirements : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, or related field, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience required : 3+ years processing high volume, multi-state payroll for a mid to large size company strongly preferred.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $56,000 to $64,400, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
