Skidmore College Associate Director of Admissions Strategy and Outreach in United States
The Associate Director of Admissions Strategy & Outreach will serve on the Admissions team responsible for the Office’s CRM, Technolutions Slate. The candidate will help create a culture of data-informed decision making across the admission and enrollment funnel using insights from the division’s market research and available data to execute outreach channels and strategy for achieving enrollment goals. Duties include: assisting the Director of Admissions Strategy & Outreach in the creation and execution of personalized communications and targeted calls to action that help build a robust pool of inquiries across the nation and globe who would help Skidmore realize its mission-aligned enrollment goals; collaborating with the Director of Admissions Strategy & Outreach to partner with admission teams to enhance and operationalize event processing, assessing, and analyzing, ensuring that key strategy is infused throughout the recruitment process. In addition, the Associate Director will effectively communicate the benefits of a Skidmore College education through virtual engagement and on- and off-campus events, read applications, and participate in student selection committee. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Primary Duties
Assist the Director of Admissions Strategy & Outreach in strategic content creation in alignment with industry best practices and national trends, independently executing personalized communications with targeted calls to action that help build a robust pool of inquiries across the nation and globe who would help Skidmore realize its mission-aligned enrollment goals
Support the Admission CRM (Technolutions Slate) team, with a focus on leveraging the system for personalizing outreach towards a higher and faster inquiry to applicant to enrolling conversion, possessing and sharing Slate best practices for building a diverse funnel of inquiries for Skidmore
Leverage data to provide strategic recommendations to the Dean and Directors for building a robust pipeline of increasingly diverse candidates from national and international markets, including the development of Admissions personas for greater impact on conversion through the application funnel
Continually maintain, assess, and document data and insights within Slate, along with the Associate Director of Strategy and Operations, to brainstorm and implement mid- and post-campaign interventions to help achieve desired KPIs as set forth by the Director of Strategy & Outreach
Support the Director of Strategy & Outreach by participating in the admissions operations group, including assistance with training, with a focus on enhancing the innovation and execution of operations. Candidate will also work with the Associate Director of Strategy & Operations to lead technical counseling staff trainings as related to the instance of Slate.
Communicate the benefits of Skidmore virtually and through on- and off-campus events (presentations at schools and community-based organizations, industry events, conferences, school counselor events, student-family events, online webinars, etc.)
Participate in team reading and committee review of application files; territory management for reading and travel would include one or more markets of significant importance to Skidmore’s enrollment goals for revenue generation
Qualifications & Competencies
Uses knowledge of trends and best practices in college admissions to develop strategic questions regarding outreach channels that reach a diverse array of admissions constituents, particular in the development of student “personas” that help meet enrollment goals
Ability to work towards big-picture projects and initiatives by coordinating and following through with small details and tasks independently and swiftly
Strong ability to focus on meeting long-term goals while juggling emerging short-term needs
Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work independently and lead a team
Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM system and understanding of relational databases for strategic impact; understanding of Slate Portals and personalizing outreach expected; while HTML coding is not required, understanding of relational databases and the data architecture of Technolutions Slate in order to leverage data for assessment and strategic decision making is essential
Ability to complete projects/tasks independently, in a timely manner, and while maximizing the efficiencies of technology
Well-organized, creative, and responsive implementation and coordination of projects and responsibilities; strong project management skills
Effective planning, coordination, and communication of changes and innovations in process and/or systems
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Driver’s license and willingness to travel required
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: minimum of 4+ years of experience in admissions with related experience in admissions systems and data
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience
