Description
The Division of Regional Surgery at the University of Rochester is looking to hire a full-time general surgeon at the assistant or associate professor level to join our regional surgical team. The ideal candidate will establish a comprehensive community practice at UR Medicine-affiliated community hospitals. There are opportunities to contribute to the development of regional clinical programs, including patient care, teaching, surgical quality, administrative responsibilities, and community outreach. The selected individual will also build a practice by strengthening relationships with referring physicians in the community.
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery. Candidates with fellowship training or additional specialized surgical training are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
Candidates must have completed medical school receiving an MD or equivalent and completed a full surgical residency program and have passed standardized proficiency testing. Must be eligible for a full NYS medical license.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process
