Job Description
The Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites applications for a tenure–track appointment in mathematics at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2025. All areas of mathematics will be considered, with some preference given to applied mathematics.
Applicants will have a commitment to effective and engaging teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including core courses. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program, ideally be able to involve students in his/her scholarly work, and have potential for internal/external funding.
Required Qualifications:
Applicant should have a doctorate in mathematics or a closely related field, ABD considered. Skills and commitment to provide high-quality education is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching Mathematics and developing/revising courses in collaboration with other disciplines. Experience with writing grant proposals, obtaining external funding, and recruiting students will be considered additional assets.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
