Description: Must Have Skill (Top 3): Accounts Payable, Accounting, Procurement Communication, phone skills, customer service Self-starter, demonstrates initiative and works under minimal supervision; analytical/attention to details, ability to meet deadlines, MS Office Demonstrated skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments to effectively meet tight and/or multiple deadlines, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and in managing conflicting priorities and demands. Job Summary Performs accounts payable and expense report processes and provides support in other accounting functions as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned Prepares accounts payable register and other related reports. . Prepares vendor invoices for payment daily. This process includes account distribution, matching of invoices to P.O., receiving tickets, and obtaining proper approval. Prepares batches of invoices to be paid and enters data into accounts payable system for processing. Prepares expense reports for payment processing and enters into accounts payable system. . Responds and researches vendor inquiries on status of accounts payable invoices. . Enters additions to master vendor file and performs maintenance on existing vendor accounts. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education and Experience Required: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or similar area of study, and zero to three years previous experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or similar area of study, and zero to three years previous experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required General accounting, office administration, accounts payable, and/or payroll knowledge required.
