Job Description
The position will perform clerical and administrative duties related to the operations, functions and activities of the Department of Management and Marketing.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance to the Department Head, students, and faculty. Maintains office files (personnel, student, and general documents).
Input class schedules for fall, spring, and summer registration in Banner; update class schedules as directed by the department head; assist department head and faculty with student advising and assign an advisor to students in Banner (if not assigned).
Prepare graduation audits for students who apply for fall, spring, or summer graduations. Prepare necessary course substitution forms and other forms as directed by the department head. Submit completed audits to the Office of the Registrar. Distribute graduation tickets during rehearsal.
Prepare faculty MOAs and Offer Letters for current and incoming faculty and submit them to Academic Affairs along with other required documents for approval.
Prepare teaching overload forms and submit documents by the deadline.
Assist students during critical points in the semester, including the first week of class, add/drop period, registration, and commencement. Be able to respond to students’ general questions.
Submit Position & Requisition Forms and other required documents to HR for processing new hires and rehires. Submit data changes, costing allocation, and termination documents in Workday.
Prepare the Student Opinion Survey (SOS) packets for all courses taught in the semester and deliver them to the respective faculty during the last three weeks of the semester. Prepare an Excel spreadsheet tallying the student responses from the SOS once packets are returned.
Assist faculty with general questions, travel arrangements, purchases, and reimbursements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Knowledge of student information systems, degree planning, and degree audits.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
