PamTen, Inc. ACI Engineer (On-Shore) in United States
Job description: You will be responsible to design, implement, maintain, and support the client's growing network infrastructure. This position will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assist in building out a new ACI network fabric running on Sonic OS.
Design, Configure, and Deploy Cisco 8K Series Routers
Research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of (ACI) engineering principles.
Provide Tier lll technical support for ACI technologies
Automate and perform daily operational duties supporting the Data Center Application Centric Infrastructure
Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.
Qualifications:
8+ Years of experience
Expertise configuring Nexus switches
Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and automating ACI solutions
Tier lll escalation support experience in a Data Center environment
Experience working with Cisco 8K Series Routers - 8100, 8200, 8600, 8800
Expert executing basic Network Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP and working knowledge of IS-IS (Integrated Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System) for ACI routing.
Knowledge of VLAN or MACsec (Media Access Control security)
Solid understanding of the Data Center industry, products, and protocols.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Nice to have:
Experience with SONiC OS or other open-source network operating systems
Working knowledge of SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface)
CCNP or CCIE Certification
SONiC and SAI:
SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface) defines generic, object-based CRUD APIs for switching silicon configuration and monitoring.
Sonic is an open-source network operating system based on Linux. From a high-level perspective, SONiC architecture consists of a bunch of networking applications that run independently in dedicated Docker containers that use Redis as an information source that shares about configuration and the system's current state.
