INVENTORY TEAM LEAD

The Inventory Team Lead will be responsible for the efficient operation of the inventory department meeting daily inventory control schedules. Team leads are also responsible for directing the work of inventory associates as well as for inventory management, using forklifts to load/unload trucks, moving material to and from coolers, ensuring accurate inventory releases, ensuring accurate cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

What are we looking for?

Education and Professional Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Two years’ experience working in a shipping/receiving, inventory control

• Forklift Certification (Required)

• Forklift Experience: 2 Years minimum (Required)

• Team Leadership: 1 year (Required)

Knowledge/Experience

• Shipping, receiving, cycle counts (audits) picking inventory and inventory research (Required)

• Able to work primarily in temp controlled environments ranging from -10 degrees to -50 degrees fahrenheit (Required)

• Comfortable using computers, tablets, scanners, and other hardware

• Stand-up and sit down forklift experience: 2 years

• WMS and SAP/DCX/Netsuite experience (Preferred)

• Experience with Google Sheets/Excel (preferred)

• Shipping, receiving, cycle counts, audits, picking inventory and inventory research (Required)

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Able to work well independently, self-motivated, and as a team member

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position requiring heavy lifting up to 100lbs., carrying tools and supplies, kneeling, stooping, and standing on feet for long periods of time

• Authorized to work in the United States

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Team leads are positioned around our facility and tasked with ownership of a station, area, or process. We are a young startup who values flexibility and proactive problem-solving in our team.

• Operates forklift safely at all times

• Manages small groups of associates within inventory department to execute movement of product from the truck dock, to the freezer, and to various departments within the facility

• Responsible for learning your station and dive into the details and idiosyncrasies.

• Troubleshoot issues that arise, operate independently to complete job tasks.

• Make recommendations on inventory/warehouse improvement, and drive initiatives.

• Maintains a focus of 5S philosophy and be a driver and advocate of 5S maintenance.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase performance.

• Assist with training new employees.

• Adhere to NomNomNow work rules, GMPs, Safety processes, procedures and rules as well as; comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

• Accurately and thoroughly account for physical inventory within the plant and on inbound/outbound trucks.

• Read and understand BOLs and manifests to ensure inbound/outbound trucks are accurately loaded.
