Summary
The future of Integrated Training Systems is being built, operated, and delivered at HII. HII-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently hiring a mid-level Systems Engineer, Test 2 with integrated training systems experience (ITS), designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems-Systems Engineering contract for the ITS In-Service Engineering Agent located in Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division’s Damneck Activity Virginia Beach, VA.
What you will do
Executes testing of complex training and simulation systems and subsystems.
Test planning of complex operational and engineering interoperability tests composed of components from Navy, Joint and Coalition systems.
Supports any variation of system engineering, verification and validation test development, integration, and interoperability assessment and certification testing.
Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements..
Display basic knowledge of electronic media, local area networks and associated accessories.
Execute additional duties as tasked by Govt leads.
What you must have
Must have 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
Must have Basic Level knowledge and skills in Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) to Information Assurance (IA) standards and policies.
Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Requirements
Naval Surface Combat System Aegis or Ship Self Defense System experience desired
Experience supporting major shipboard combat and/or training system providing quality independent verification and validation (IV&V) preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in an office, industrial and/or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl around and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift, a minimum of fifty (50) pounds in the test environment.
