Job Title: Configuration Management Analyst II 

Job Location: NSWC Dam Neck  

Security Clearance: Eligible for Secret Clearance 

Location: Virginia Beach, VA 

Job Description: 

SimIS Inc seeks a Configuration Management Analyst II to provide Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Systems Engineering (SE) support for maritime Training Systems being developed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will review released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies for a major shipboard combat and/or training system. The period of performance begins in late August and includes 1 base year and 4 option years for a total of 5 contract years.  

Experience Required: 

  • At least four (4) years of full-time professional experience working in configuration management including two years of full-time experience (within the last 10 years) in configuration management of modern, large-scale computer systems. 

  • Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end-product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. 

  • Coordinates with customers and developers to determine a process for change reporting. 

  •  Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. 

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required: 

  • High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred.
