Responsibilities: Job Description The Practice Director (PD) will lead a diverse team of high-performing employees and consultants, including architects, developers, data engineers, and business analysts. The PD will oversee the full solution lifecycle execution client and internal company projects, will support business development, and will mentor and lead the technical staff. The PD will oversee the work of solutiondelivery project teams, relying on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish team goals. Responsibilities • Provide thought leadership for the practice, both within the company and in client-facing engagements. • Work with the business development team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership that contributes to winning business opportunities with current and new clients. • Provide ownership of application development technical processes. Establish and disseminate processes and practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients. • Lead and coach a team of software developers, architects, and other technical staff, working in a global delivery model. • Engage with clients to understand underlying business problems and propose solutions. • In collaboration with clients and company stakeholders, elicit detailed technical specifications and architect enterprise-grade software solutions. Collaborate with functional and technical leads from client teams, third party vendors, and product partners. • Actively guide technical design and code development. Design, deliver and maintain robust, reliable, and effective systems. • Define and maintain development standards for projects and the organization. • Develop quality assurance and control policies and procedures. • Hire team members, plan, assign, and direct work. • Appraise team performance, address complaints and resolve problems. • Report to senior management on a regular basis and maintain effective and consistent communication and tracking of all assigned programs and projects. Critical Competencies • A team player with a collaborative, positive attitude • Ability to maintain a proactive view of current technology trends, including emerging paradigms, languages and practices. • Strong command of Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD. • Strong technical skill with experience in a variety of technical roles. • Team leadership in onshore/offshore global delivery environment. • Excellent communication skills and able to build strong collaborative relationships with peers, client stakeholders and senior company leadership. • Strong command of cloud development and infrastructure architectures and practices. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills • Experience in Telecom is not required but is considered a big plus. Requirements • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field of study. • 7+ years of large scale complex commercial software engineering experience
