Walk In Clinic Lead Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) / Overview UHS is actively recruiting a Lead Provider to oversee our Walk-In Clinic sites.
The position will report to the UHS Walk-In Clinical Director. 4 hours per week administrative duties/38 hours per week clinical duties. Responsible for administrative and staff meetings, provider oversite, and scheduling.
Leading by example and driving clinical outcomes in the walk in clinic setting. Creates an environment where Walk-in care is considered one of the strengths of UHS, and provides for effective networking with both community agencies and educational institutions to enhance internal and community perception of the Walk-in mission. Participates in the development of educational programs and by counsel and medical practice establishes standards of performance that are of consistent, high quality. Develops, monitors and communicates provider clinic work schedules.
Provides active leadership in the absence of clinical director including reviewing patient complaints. Provides direct patient care through scheduled time as a provider in the Walk-in clinics at UHSH
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed to practice in the State of New York and eligible for membership on the UHS Medical Staff.
Experience in Family medicine, walk in care, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
Board certified/eligible.
Salary: $130,900 - $152,700 plus Lead will receive an additional bi-weekly lead stipend.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or Physician Assistant.
Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number.
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Three (3) years experience in a clinical setting.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment.
Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS.
