United Way of Broome County Development Accounts Coordinator in Vestal, New York
Development Accounts Coordinator - United Way of Broome County (UWBC) is a non-profit organization that fights for the health, education, & financial stability of Broome County residents. UWBC works in partnership with community organizations and members to drive change that will have positive impact on the critical needs of the community. The Development Accounts Coordinator is responsible for managing & creating relationships across all business and organization sectors of the community, as well as providing support for all Resource Development (RD) events & other organizational activities.
DUTIES
Build relationships with individuals, stakeholders, community leaders, business executives, etc.
Identify prospective donors.
Assist in coordinating UWBCs annual day of service in June.
Present awards to appropriate individuals & local businesses.
Represent UWBC at community functions & partner events.
Meet with business representatives, leaders, & individuals, as well as attend meetings, conferences, & events.
Under the direction of the RD Director, manage the Employee Campaign Manager (ECM) process.
Promoting & support UWBC programs and initiatives
Identify non-traditional revenue streams such as grants, sponsorships, & individual planned giving.
Identify/secure sponsorships from businesses and individuals for events and initiatives.
Help develop funding proposals; grant applications; & reports to funders to support community investments through the Annual Campaign
Update & maintain donor information in database.
Assist & support the direct mail process for soliciting individuals & small businesses.
Develop & maintain a business plan for performance tracking of assigned campaign accounts.
Work with the RD Director to process recognition award certificates & thank you letters.
Provide relevant historical donor data to assist the Campaign Cabinet in setting the annual campaign goal.
Research & analyze leadership giving and formally develop a leadership giving program.
Attend trainings, including those related to ANDAR and E-Pledge.
Establish & maintain relationships with UWBC staff, volunteers, contributors, and partners.
Participate in UWBC programs & events as directed.
Attend organizational, departmental, & committee meetings and trainings as directed.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all UWBC operations.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree or Bachelors degree with 3 years nonprofit fundraising experience
Flexibility & multi-tasking skills
Ability to work with individuals of diverse social & economic backgrounds
Experience working with a volunteer board/committee structure
Strong public speaking, organizational, & customer relationship skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with database software

SALARY: $22.95-$24.72
HOURS: This is a full-time non-exempt position, Monday Friday 8:30 am 4:30 pm (37.5 hours). Evening & weekend hours required, as needed for community events and meetings.
