We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide top-notch technical assistance and support through our Service Department Tech Line (IN OFFICE), with a specific focus on ice maker repair, 2-3 years working experience on commercial ice makers is a must. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company dedicated to excellence in customer service.

Mission: As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical assistance to distributors, dealers, and customers. Your expertise in ice maker repair will be essential as you perform field service tasks when needed, ensuring our customers receive outstanding service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, text, and chat; accurately log information in our database.

  • Review and verify labor warranty claims for processing.

  • Support National Accounts projects and follow-up.

  • Address Consumer Products calls and determine appropriate actions.

  • Respond to routine service requests and correspondence.

  • Identify and report emerging or major field service issues.

  • Coordinate specific start-ups between KES and service providers.

  • Assist the Installation Coordinator with technical support, contacting providers, and processing invoices.

  • Provide on-call 24x7 tech line support as scheduled.

  • Analyze data to identify potential warranty causes or risks.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in ice maker repair.

  • Strong technical support skills with the ability to handle various communication channels (phone, text, chat).

  • Proficient in Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office (Excel essential).

  • Familiarity with CRM and SMS systems.

  • Ability to enter and manage live customer information effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification: MUST HAVE, EPA Refrigerant Usage Certification, Type I & II; Minimum two-year Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Education Certificate or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in ice maker repair and technical support.

  • Physical Requirements: Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week; occasional travel if necessary; strong communication and presentation skills; professional image.
