Job Description
Position Summary
Primarily responsible for maintaining production equipment including assembly automation, hydraulic testing equipment, industrial wash systems, light machining, measuring equipment, tooling, etc. Additionally, facility related equipment, electrical distribution, compressed air systems, plumbing, interior décor and bathroom upkeep, parking lots, outdoor walk ways, and general property.
Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance of the organization’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, compressed air systems, water treatment, and electric systems
Assists in the maintenance of property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through completion of preventive maintenance programs according to specifications
Machines include automated wash equipment, lathes, honing machines, presses, collets, hydraulic test stands, custom automated assembly units, PLC’s, assembly robots, band saws, manual mills and lathes, air compressors, air dryers, material handling equipment, electrostatic filters, hoists
Maintenance PM’s for machines include coolant, oil, and filter changes, electrical inspections, calibrations, motor swaps, pump swaps, hydraulic hose replacement, cleaning of heat exchangers, hydraulic oil reservoir cleaning,
Low voltage electrical controls trouble shooting
Trouble shoot logic controllers
Completes daily Standard Work task lists and event reports
Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to implement maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests
Assists in the maintenance of proper spares inventory levels
Assists in fire and safety inspections corrects any discrepancies; ensures property complies with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations
Assists in maintaining waste disposal, including any waste such as machine process wash soap waste water, acetone, mineral spirits, or solvents.
Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
Use of ladders and scaffolds
Working with parts of various sizes and weights
Repetitive shoulder/arm/hand motion
Move furniture, materials and equipment
Work Environment
Most of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are heated and air conditioned, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
Occasionally outside weather conditions, year round
Handling of small amounts of general and hazardous waste. Hazardous waste includes solvents, acetones, and mineral spirits. General waste may include hydraulic oil, mixed water/cleaning solutions, and general cleaning agents such as soaps and detergents.
Handling of non-hazardous materials such as cutting oils, coolants, grease, water
Qualifications
High School Diploma, job specific training and equivalent work experience preferred
2+ years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing, machining, tool & die environment
PLC manufacturer specific training a plus, not required
Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and A/B logic
Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills
Must have own tools, electrical meters, gages, calipers, etc.
Familiar with city and state building codes and OSHA requirements
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Familiar with CMMS software use, we specifically use “Maintenance Connection”
Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals
Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Bilingual skills a plus
Ability to understand all safety requirements
Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training
