Job Description

Position Summary:

During the trainee program "Graduate Specialist Program – Design" you will spend 24 months in various personally coordinated rotations. This program is designed to transition you into a full-time role in Design Engineering after completion of the program in a challenging specialist or project role within the HydraForce, a Bosch company. Together, we lay the foundation for your successful career.

This is what you can expect:

  • 4 rotations : one of which is at another Bosch facility in the US: You will gain in-depth insights into various areas of Engineering at Bosch Rexroth. Possible positions include valve design, automotive engineering, quality/purchasing, manufacturing engineering/PRM

  • Challenging content: You can expect exciting technical and project tasks with operational and strategic tasks.

  • Exclusive mentoring: During the program, a mentor from the upper management circle will support you in your professional and personal development. In addition, a current participant from the trainee program will accompany you during onboarding.

  • Flexible start date and permanent employment: We adapt the start date individually to your needs. You will be part of our team from the very beginning and will take on responsibility from day 1.

  • Network: In the trainee program, you can network with trainees and managers worldwide across departments.

Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineer in the rotation program, you will

  • Assist in the development and testing of new products

  • Solve design problems; adapt, alter, and/or improve existing products

  • Interpret design input and translate into design of custom hydraulic manifold housings or valves, and develop detailed drawings for the product

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods

  • Drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day activities

  • Follow through on projects from start to serial production

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Lift and move a minimum of 5 pounds without assistance.

  • Sit and use a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The noise level in the work environment can be quiet to moderate

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Senior graduating in 2024/ May 2025 or a recent Grad (<3 years) with bachelor’s degree in industrial design or mechanical engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5. (Master’s Degree preferred)

  • Some experience (previous internship) within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.

  • Proven ability to analyze problems, recommend and implement solutions.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

  • Willing to travel (Domestic)
