Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

Medical Assistants support the providers and office staff. They are multi-skilled, assume a wide range of roles, and are viewed as vital partners in providing quality patient care and increasing medical office productivity. Day-to-day tasks may include rooming patients, vital intake, patient follow-ups, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, restocking rooms, and utilizing an EMR system.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Eight-hour shifts between 8:30AM-5:30PM.

Hard Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Medical Assistant Diploma through a certified MA program

  • CMA or RMA Certification (preferred)

  • 6+ months of experience using an EMR system

  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office or urgent care setting

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Vernon, Connecticut.

Work Environment

Working for a primary care practice associated with ECHN in Vernon, CT. These are first shift hours with 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with variations of 7-4, 8-5, 8:30-5:30. Need to be open and flexible to any variation of hours. Dress Code: Scrubs, closed-toed shoes. Culture: Fast-paced medical office.
