At SAIC, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Systems Engineer joining our team to support and provide launch communications infrastructure support functions, to include:

  • Serve as an OSL Systems Engineer to anticipate, define,

collect, and manage requirements and develop documentation supporting

design, modification, construction, installation, and activation of OSL

facilities and systems.

  • Apply industry standards to evaluate solutions, develop strategies, and

provide recommendations for system requirements, modifications, and

improvements.

  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation needed for system

requirements, modifications, and improvements.

  • Oversee activities for broadcast / communications system project implementation, operations, and maintenance.

  • Identify potential vulnerabilities and shortfalls in facilities and

systems supporting communications infrastructure (e.g., computer equipment rooms, power, heating, ventilation & air conditioning).

  • Provide expertise and capacity management assessments of outside plant

systems (fiber, duct banks, hand holes, manholes, etc.) utilized for client's

communications at launch bases.

  • Ensure OSL video systems security requirements are met and comply with

requirements to achieve and/or maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO).

  • Oversee OSL’s security management system (OSMS) projects.

  • Document identified communications system risks, prioritize and manage

through closures.

  • As directed by the Government, attend meetings and serve at the subject

matter expert for launch communications systems.

  • Additional requirements, not mandatory but preferred Security plus credentials.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: BA/BS or equivalent.

● Required Experience: Must have min. of 9 years of related experience.

● Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and capability to handle multiple tasks.

● Location: On Customer Site.

● U.S. Citizenship Required.

Clearance Level Must Currently Possess:

  • Top Secret SCI + Polygraph.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
