Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate production process methods, suggest improvements, and support various manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in using MRP and CAD software, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing effective solutions. This role involves collaborating with operators, assisting design engineering, and developing technical training programs. The position requires occasional travel for tasks such as training, investigation, field repair, and equipment commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate production process methods to identify and suggest process improvements.

  • Use MRP and CAD software to create fixtures and tooling and route the jobs through manufacturing operations.

  • Troubleshoot and suggest corrective actions, including root cause corrective actions, on a timely basis.

  • Participate in project management, resolve relevant issues, and complete tasks on time.

  • Collaborate with operators to implement effective solutions to a wide variety of production challenges.

  • Develop and coordinate technical training programs for direct and indirect labor, including orientation, process changes, updates, and other technical training needs.

  • Assist Design Engineering with design, feasibility review, testing, and implementation of new programs or program modifications.

  • Qualify new processes, including documentation, training, and certification of production operators/technicians.

  • Work independently with moderate supervision and deliver excellent results on time.

  • Communicate well with customers, supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other personnel.

  • Determine and implement best practices and methods for fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly processes to improve productivity, enhance ergonomics, and overall plant flow.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • 0-2 years of experience in a Process Engineer role.

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Kaizen / Continuous Improvement experience a plus, as well as 5S methodology.

  • Understanding of Lean principles such as lead time reduction and SMED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen, Design, Machining, and Production.

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and change work schedules to support production.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $93000.00

On top of our competitive compensation package, we offer a benefits package that covers medical, dental and vision. Short term and long term disability is also included.
