Aerotek Electrical Field Service Technician in Vandalia, Ohio

Job Title: Electrical Field Service Technician

Job Description

We design and build servo and mechanical presses ranging from 30 to 4,000 metric ton capacity to support the automotive industry. As an Electric Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer locations to install, repair, and troubleshoot stamping presses. You will work alongside riggers to handle heavy lifting and follow blueprints, work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions. You will adjust, fit, and align equipment to customer specifications while communicating and providing feedback to customers to improve satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to install, repair, and troubleshoot stamping presses.

  • Travel 75% to 80% of the time, primarily within Michigan to Alabama, with most customers within 2 hours of the facility.

  • Pick 12 weeks to be scheduled off each year.

  • Potential to be gone up to 2 weeks at a time.

  • Work alongside riggers who will handle heavy lifting.

  • Follow blueprints, work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions.

  • Adjust, fit, and align equipment to customer specifications.

  • Communicate and provide feedback to customers to improve customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years' experience and/or schooling in a related field.

  • Electrical Wiring: Wiring equipment/machines up to 480v.

  • PLC: Diagnosing and repairing. Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron PLCs.

  • Capital/Production equipment: Assembling, building, rebuilding equipment according to blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a technical field or vocational degree preferred but not required.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $76960.00
