Job Title: Senior NERC Compliance Analyst Company: PPM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC Location: WA - Vancouver Department: Asset Mngt-Remote OPS-OT-CNL REL Assure1 Reports to (Title): Manager - AREN Reliability Assurance This position's base salary range depends upon experience and location, ranging from $ 80,582 to $ 104,756 JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships: Establishes, administers, and monitors departmental standards, procedures, and performance to minimize risk and ensure compliance with NERC Reliability Standards and other legal requirements. Works with Subject Matter Experts and management to provide specialized technical expertise and support for compliance program development and compliance performance tracking and reporting. MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities): 1. Review of New Standards and Guidance - there is an ongoing review and update of the NERC Reliability standards as well as the issuance of guidance documents. Any changed and/or updates need to be communicated to Subject Matter Experts. The Senior Analyst will coordinate the tracking of changes to standards and manage overall compliance for the NYSEG and RGE ECCs to ensure compliance requirements are met. 2. Audit Preparation- The companies are subject to regular audits for compliance with ERO standards. The Senior Analyst will be expected to support the preparation of audit documents prior to external audits and to conduct regular internal audits of individual standards to support company compliance. 3. Document Management - The NERC Reliability program includes almost 100 policies, procedures, and forms for each company that need to be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. A document trail must be kept to demonstrate compliance with each standard. The Senior Analyst will manage the review and updates of policies and procedures in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts. 4. Procedure Documentation - Maintain and update Operational policies, procedures and associated documentation. 5. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Required: • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years in compliance, operations, auditing, and/or engineering or an Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years in compliance, operations, auditing, and/or engineering. Skills/Abilities: • Good problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to understand and analyze FERC/NERC regulatory requirements. • Able to work independently and exercise considerable judgment and decision-making. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Able to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities. • Proficient with PC skills and programs. Desired Skills/Abilities: • Experience with audits. • Training experience.
