About the Role:
As an ICU Stepdown RN at PeaceHealth, you'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care. You will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, ensuring accurate documentation and collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team. This full-time (0.90 FTE) night shift position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.

Competitive Salary: $50.21 – $74.61 per hour (The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Accurately document patient care in the healthcare record.
Direct and delegate care to other team members.
Continuously pursue professional development and education.
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP.
Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures.
Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting.
Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents.
Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales.
Qualifications:
Experience: One year of RN experience in a progressive care/step down (intermediate level) unit gained within the last 3 years is preferred, or currently oriented and can provide care independently within the department.
Demonstrated competence in area of expertise required
Credentials: Registered Nurse - Washington or MSL, BLS, ACLS (within 6 months of hire), NIHSS Certification (within 120 days), CCRN Certification (Preferred)
Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development, ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships, ability to support medical center philosophy and procedures, basic computer skills.
