Do you enjoy being physically active, spending time outside, and working with your hands? If so,come join our team as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. This position provides and implements a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom experience for children enrolled in ECEAP and Head Start programs. Scheduled to work 40 hours per week with a school year schedule. Fully qualified pay rate- $22.93, Trainee rate- $21.94. General schedule is Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM with occasional after hours events.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Education: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, an unrelated field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE related courses.

    Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, a closely related field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE related courses. One year of paid or formal volunteer/internship experience with groups of children 3 to 5 years of age in an early childhood setting.

    • Training plan may be considered depending on qualifications.

    • Bi-lingual highly desired.

    Knowledge of: 1. Principles of child development and Early Childhood Curriculum planning. 2. Principles of effective supervision. 3. Current best practices in early childhood development and education. Ability to:

  • Observe and assess children and set individualized goals.

  • Prepare the classroom environment to meet the educational needs of each child.

  • Work cooperatively with staff members and clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information

  • Be technology proficient
