Available Title(s): 626L-YNCSNPS - Maintenance Mechanic 3 Business Title: Maintenance Mechanic 3, Facilities Services, Vancouver Campus Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Maintenance Mechanic 3, Facilities Services, Vancouver Campus If you are an experienced maintenance mechanic with a journey level license, certification or experience in electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, general contractor or other trades, WSU Vancouver has a couple of Maintenance Mechanic 3 positions to consider. Summary of Duties The position is assigned to the Facilities Services Department at WSU Vancouver. This is the senior, specialist or lead worker level of the series and performs a wide variety of maintenance functions required to maintain university buildings. This position performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, remodeling and construction of buildings, grounds, machinery, mechanical facilities and equipment. Inspect, provide preventative maintenance, repairs and alterations to support the students, faculty and staff of WSU Vancouver. May serve as a subject matter expert with coworkers or representing the University to vendors serving the University. May be eligible for standby pay which is additional pay for employees required to be immediately available for duty in accordance with OFM and WAC 357-28-205. Required Qualifications High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and one year of journey-level experience inbuilding and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work or equivalent education/experience. Preferred Qualifications Journey level license, certification or experience in the following trades such as: HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical, general contractor or other trades. Demonstrated work experience in a commercial/industrial setting. A valid driver's license may be required with the ability to meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
