TEKsystems IT Manager in Vancouver, Washington

Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a seasoned, Hands on IT Manager to oversee and manage the technological infrastructure of their multi-location company spanning across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network security, database management (particularly SQL), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Autodesk Vault, backup solutions, Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Office 365, cloud services, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), and Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to coordinate and manage IT operations effectively across diverse geographical locations.

The IT Manager reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer and will possess strong managerial and interpersonal skills. You will also be responsible for implementing or expanding on existing infrastructure and be involved in implementing new systems such as ERP Enterprise Resource Planning.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives to support the company's overall business objectives and ensure seamless operations across multiple locations and countries.

• Manage and maintain network security protocols and procedures to safeguard company data and systems against cyber threats and breaches.

• Oversee the administration and optimization of SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.

• Manage and support the implementation, integration, and maintenance of an ERP systems and Autodesk Vault PLM or BIM for efficient business operations and data management.

• Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical business data and systems from potential loss or damage.

• Lead the adoption and utilization of Microsoft Azure cloud services for scalable and flexible IT infrastructure.

• Manage and support Microsoft Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and Office 365 platforms for collaboration, communication, and document management.

• Evaluate, select, and implement cloud services and technologies to enhance business productivity and efficiency.

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of VOIP systems for seamless communication across the organization.

• Manage VPN technologies to ensure secure remote access for employees working across various locations.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify IT requirements, procure necessary equipment and services, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management roles, preferably in a multi-location, multi-country environment.

• Extensive experience with network security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management.

• Proficiency in SQL database administration and optimization.

• Administration experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Syspro), Autodesk Vault PLM or BIM, and backup solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and Office 365.

• Familiarity with cloud services and technologies, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

• Experience with VOIP systems and VPN technologies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, MCSE) are a plus.
