Responsibilities:

  • Working to production schedule/due dates
  • Operating machine safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly work area, 5S
  • General machine maintenance
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement processes and Lean thinking
  • Skills:
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances (+/- .002)

``` - Familiar with Fanuc controllers - Ability to read blueprints, machinist functions, set up sheets and sequence of operations - Understand and calculate speeds and feeds - Understanding of material types and grades - Ability to create CNC programs and make background editing changes on machines - Good math skills - Strong manual and CNC operating skills

Optional Advanced Skills:Education/Experience:

  • Familiar with live tooling
  • Horizontal machining
  • Large fab machining
  • Complicated set ups
  • Ability to create CNC programs and make background editing changes on machines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Some college preferred
  • 3-5 years experience
