Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Vanceburg, Kentucky

Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Vanceburg, Kentucky. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing our company's financial activities, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting the financial success of our company by providing accurate information on all transactions, profit and loss, cash flow, and capital investments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage all company's financial records including income statements, balance sheets, annual and quarterly financial reports.

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Oversee routine financial activities such as invoicing, payroll computation, tax filing and others.

• Create and monitor budgets, prepare cost projections, and conduct profitability analyses.

• Serve as a liaison with external auditors to facilitate audits and prepare necessary paperwork.

• Assist management in understanding the financial implications of their decisions, providing advice and guidance as necessary.

• Implement and maintain best practices in internal controls and financial procedures.

• Conduct continuous analysis of company’s financial performance and identify areas for potential improvement.

• Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective financial strategies within the organization.

• Use various software and tools including Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and others for account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, and month end close. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.

• Experience in Month End Close operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Epicor, Oracle, and/or SAP accounting and financial software.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet shared objectives and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
