Lead the Future of Fiber Optic Infrastructure as an Administrator Construction Manager

Location: Valparaiso, IN 46385 | Full-time | 12-month contract

Pay Rate: $41.83 – $46.35/hr | Schedule: 40 hours per week

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly motivated Administrator Construction Manager to oversee OSP (Outside Plant) construction activities. In this role, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating with municipalities, utilities, and internal teams. Responsibilities

  • Oversee OSP construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards

  • Coordinate with contractors, ensuring compliance with state, local, and company requirements

  • Manage project schedules to meet critical timelines

  • Conduct pre- and post-project inspections to ensure quality workmanship

  • Supervise material management, tracking inventory and usage

  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring accurate expenditures

  • Investigate and report plant damages to ensure accountability

  • Attend pre-construction meetings and collaborate with various stakeholders

  • Ensure accurate project documentation, including as-builts and invoicing

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Outside Plant (OSP) construction and splicing

  • Strong knowledge of OSP construction standards, unit descriptions, and SSP contracts

  • Familiarity with Work Zone Protection (WZP) and Traffic Control Plans (TCP)

  • Understanding of state, local, and company safety standards

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderately heavy objects

  • Willingness to work overtime, be on-call for nights/weekends, and travel occasionally

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred:

  • Experience supervising union employees and contract vendors

  • Strong knowledge of logistics, contract administration, and engineering coordination

Pay Details: $41.83 to $46.35 per hour
