Touro University Clinical Research Nurse in Valhalla, New York

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Research Nurse to join our esteemed pulmonology research team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply clinical expertise and research skills to advance our understanding and treatment of pulmonary diseases. As an integral part of our team, you will coordinate and manage research projects in cystic fibrosis, asthma, COVID, and other pulmonary conditions, contributing to meaningful scientific discoveries in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of research projects within the Pulmonology Research Center, including participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.

  • Collaborate closely with principal investigators, clinicians, and research staff to develop research protocols, timelines, and study procedures, leveraging your nursing expertise .

  • Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to ethical standards of research.

  • Utilize clinical skills to provide direct patient care and conduct study-related assessments, interventions, and follow-ups as needed.

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings, conferences, and presentations to share research findings and contribute to scientific discourse.

Qualifications

Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required ; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

L icenses or certifications : Current RN or LPN license in the state of New York

T echnical/computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research management software .

Prior experience: 2 years of clinical nursing experience , experience in pulmonary medicine a plus.

Other skills/requirements: Demonstrated experience in clinical research coordination or related roles, with a strong understanding of research methodologies and regulatory requirements.

Physical demands: Office wo rk demands (desk work, walking short distances between offices, standing) .

Environmental demands: Exposure to research subjects who may be actively ill. Research methodologies may include procedures with some mild level of risk, such as phlebotomy.

Minimum Salary

USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $90,000.00/Yr.
