Actalent Plant Engineer in Valdosta, Georgia

Job Title: Plant EngineerJob Description

As a Plant Engineer, you will manage projects, processes, purchasing, and contractor supervision to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. You will adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements, provide regulatory compliance training, and report to the Plant Superintendent. Maintaining effective communication with employees, vendors, and visitors is essential. You will provide safety training to contractors, monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and participate in daily production and quality meetings. Additionally, you will offer technical support for plant packaging equipment with a focus on PLC programming and observe facility operations regularly.

You will engage in project work, continuous improvement tasks, and support maintenance. The role requires involvement in electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects, necessitating the ability to ask intelligent questions and manage contractors throughout the day. Each day may vary based on the plant's needs and ongoing projects.
