SALARY RANGE: Grade 6 - $61,863 to $69,146 Note: Starting salary is determined by evaluation of experience and qualifications for the position and will be set at some point between the minimum and maximum of the pay scale.

REQUIRED HOURS: Mon-Fri; 7:00am - 3:30pm, flexibility is necessary, must work overtime as needed.

JOB SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate the activities of utility workers, shop foremen, and body shop. Be responsible for the maintenance and security of physical plant of all facilities. Assist with the scheduled maintenance and repair of all vehicles. Regular workdays are Monday through Friday however the Manager of Maintenance is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Position is non-exempt. MAJOR DUTIES:

Communicates with CNYRTA Project Manager, Building and Grounds Manager, various department Managers/Supervisors and Foremen regarding current and future work assignments pertaining to facilities.

Responsible for and coordinates vehicle interior and exterior body repairs with Syracuse.

Ascertain training needs; coordinates and schedules training as necessary.

Analyzes and monitors repeat repairs tracking process.

Meets with service representatives regarding facility repairs, product changes, and coordinate any action necessary.

Monitors overall scheduled maintenance and repair program of all Oneida facilities.

Post and award overtime as needed.

Responsible for maintenance of facility and building security systems.

Responsible for creating and receiving requisitions in Microix.

Responsible for the overall condition of the fleet.

Oversee, control, and be responsible for all physical inventories.

Oversee, control, maintain records, and be responsible for accident repair estimates.

Implement and maintain safety measures in the department.

Develop, evaluate and implement cost saving measures.

Responsible for all internal controls within department.

Assists in preparing facility specifications and overseeing all maintenance vendor contracts.

Tracks maintenance uniform cleaning.

Responsible for overall OHSA compliance for physical plant.

Travel between all locations to maintain direct contact with employees and assure bus and facility maintenance and safety procedures are being followed.

Perform cycle count, review and send out inventory below reorder sheet and review and file the edit and post receiving sheets.

Submit payroll when the Manager of Maintenance is off.

Oversee, control and maintain records for N.Y.S.D.E.C. compliance.

Oversee and plan projects as needed.

Create and close out work orders.

Perform other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION: Education/Experience: Associates Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of management and supervisory principles and practices.

Knowledge and skill in management of a physical plant and governing OSHA regulations. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for a variety of mechanical vehicles and equipment.

Knowledge of engine operation and mechanics for a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Knowledge of repair principles and procedures for diesel-powered engines.

Knowledge of air-conditioning system operation and repair and reclamation procedures.

Knowledge of electrical system repair procedures, vehicle body repairs, paint, and preparation.

Skill in diagnosing mechanical problems for a wide variety of vehicles and equipment.

Skill in performing preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

Skill in the use of a computer.

Skill in interpersonal relations.

Skill in oral and written communication.
