Role Overview

The Sr. Operations Director is a pivotal role responsible for driving operational strategy across the entirety of the Business Unit. Reporting directly to the President, this role is tasked with analyzing and predicting financial results and developing strategies to drive EBITDA and mitigate risks. This position may also be involved in due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, as well as the integration of acquired companies within Alkegen. Additionally, this role identifies and develops strategies for plant consolidations, supply chain optimization, inventory control, and capacity increase across the Business Unit.

Responsibilities

Drive Profitable Growth:

· Financial Acumen: Analyze items and make decisions through a financial lens. Understand products, markets, financials, sales, and operations. Strong analytical skills, budget and P&L management, ROI, EBITDA, and capital management. Drive results to achieve short-term and long-term financial targets.

Create Alignment and Accountability:

· Strategy: Set the vision and strategy for Plant Managers; gain alignment and excel in execution. Actively integrate newly acquired companies into the Business Unit to maximize value.

· General Management: Effectively manage complexity and multiple issues. Control costs and drive business results, balancing short-term and long-term needs. Evaluate potential acquisition targets for operational and financial robustness.

Build Strategic Partnerships:

· Leadership: Model Alkegen’s Core Values consistently. Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and take informed risks to achieve business objectives. Lead by example with a strong presence and accountability. Exhibit cultural sensitivity and work across cultures. Strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field required; MBA preferred.

· 10-15 years of related experience in Manufacturing and Operations Management, particularly in continuous operations and capital-intensive operations. Proven history of leading manufacturing operations successfully.

· Track record of safety dedication and driving/supporting safety improvements.

· Involvement in supply chain, quality, safety, engineering, planning, and logistics activities.

· Experience with Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, and/or Six Sigma tools.

· Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.

· Experience prioritizing capital projects and establishing annual business plans.

· Skilled in financial analysis of operational performance.
