Vertafore Manager, Software Development in US, United States

We are in search of creative and experienced engineering leaders. We embrace entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established organizations. As a key member of the product development leadership team, you will lead the development and technical strategy for our enterprise products. Partnering with product management and sales, you will interact with strategic customers designing innovative solutions that meet their business needs.

You will lead multiple teams of amazing engineers, influence many others and provide leadership on design and architecture, strategy, and technology approaches. We expect you to be an accomplished engineer, have strong hands-on technical experience and deep knowledge in one or more areas of distributed systems and enterprise web delivery platforms. Qualifications:

• 3-5 years professional experience as a development manager in an agile environment including working with enterprise customers on large scale projects

• Proven track record in leading architecture, design, development and operations of enterprise scale web delivery platforms, products and services in a high performance and high-availability SaaS environment

• Experience with Java, as well as common frameworks and infrastructure

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases

Additional Requirements and Details:

• Travel required up to 10% of the time.

• Located and working from an office location.

• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

• Frequent sitting and/or standing.
