Business Operations Analyst V

Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Business Operations Analyst V to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

-Support both programs and proposals with support to estimating, metrics generation, SAP, and analysis

-Work to support implementation of standard program management processes and tools

-Coordinate and interface with other functions, such as Finance, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Contracts

-Provide mentorship and training to other members of the Business Operations Analysts group

-Work closely with program managers and technical leads to:

-Develop basis of estimate (BOE) to support proposal estimating

-Work with Supply Chain and Contracts to solicit and evaluate supplier quotes and subcontract proposals

-Support Scheduling in the creation of a fully resource-loaded and networked Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Microsoft Project Project Planning

-Support the Finance team with project costs

-Create and baseline project tracking metrics (ex. Drawing release s-curves)

-Assist program manager with regular planning cycles

-Setup and maintain projects in SAP by Design Progress

-Facilitate project status updates to support Scheduling in the monthly forecast and status meetings

-Meet regularly with technical leads and project managers to review project deadlines and activities

-Collect and report staffing and utilization during project execution

-Track invoices and open commitments and research problems with billing/payment

-Update project tracking metrics on a regular basis

-Report Generation:

-Support the generation and delivery of internal and external technical and programmatic reports

-Extract various reports from enterprise tools to support management reviews

Minimum Requirements

-Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

-2+ years of experience in applying and interpreting integrated cost/schedule and critical path methodologies

-Experience in creating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

-Demonstrated understanding of Earned Value (EV) management principles and their application to complex projects

-Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Requirements

-Experience with setup and management of enterprise tools, basic programming skills, and development/manufacturing in Aerospace Industry

Physical Requirements

-Must be able to support occasional travel

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $117,000.00 to $209,000.00

  • Maximum Range: $117,000.00 to $209,000.00
