ManpowerGroup Packaging Operator in Urbana, Illinois
Our client, a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the operations department supporting the shipping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to following procedures, and a responsible work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging Operator
Location: Urbana, IL
What's the Job?
Coordinate the packaging of orders of manufactured chemicals while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Receive materials that have cleared final quality inspection and prepare appropriate packaging containers.
Fill prepared containers according to required configurations and ensure final labeling accuracy.
Complete detail-oriented paperwork and computer transactions to support packaging and ERP systems.
Maintain departmental SOPs, inventory accuracy, and cleanliness of the packaging department.
What's Needed?
High School diploma or GED minimum.
Ability to follow procedures consistently and correctly.
Experience in a chemical environment preferred.
Track record of holding down an operator role for an extended period of time.
Willingness to wear required PPE including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
