Our client, a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the operations department supporting the shipping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to following procedures, and a responsible work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging Operator

Location: Urbana, IL

What's the Job?

• Coordinate the packaging of orders of manufactured chemicals while ensuring a high level of customer service.

• Receive materials that have cleared final quality inspection and prepare appropriate packaging containers.

• Fill prepared containers according to required configurations and ensure final labeling accuracy.

• Complete detail-oriented paperwork and computer transactions to support packaging and ERP systems.

• Maintain departmental SOPs, inventory accuracy, and cleanliness of the packaging department.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or GED minimum.

• Ability to follow procedures consistently and correctly.

• Experience in a chemical environment preferred.

• Track record of holding down an operator role for an extended period of time.

• Willingness to wear required PPE including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
