    Position Summary:

    To provide a superior level of cleaning quality in assigned area to maintain a clean working environment.

    Qualifications:

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Previous housekeeping experience preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must have ability to effectively read, write, and converse in the English language. Must be physically able to manually move furnishings and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning techniques. Good communication and time management skills preferred. Computer skills preferred.

    Essential Functions:

  • Perform proper cleaning techniques and procedures when cleaning clinics, offices, and other common areas within the Carle organization.

  • Demonstrates procedural knowledge of safe chemical handling and use, and disposal of biohazard materials.

  • Performs all housekeeping duties with the special needs of our patients and staff in mind.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of infection prevention techniques and proper hand hygiene.

  • Successfully completes the Cert 1 training course.

  • Assists EVS Leadership on a daily basis.

  • Sucessfully meet all the requirements for EVS Tech Cert 1.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of chemical handling.

  • Completes area assignments in a timely manner.

  • Makes unoccupied beds according to procedure.

  • The EVS Tech performs cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods.

  • Follows department and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Performs wet mopping techniques, according to established procedures.
