The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement (OVCIA) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a full-time Coordinator/Senior Coordinator of Principal Gifts, Communications. This position will develop creative elements for stewardship assets that accurately inform, engage, and benefit the university\'s most loyal and generous donors.

Developing a robust Principal Gifts operation to further advance relationships with our most generous donors is critical towards fulfilling the University\'s Boldly Illinois strategic plan and future fundraising campaign goals.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement (OVCIA) is charged with building relationships with our constituents and generating diverse resources that facilitate Illinois\' academic, research, economic and public services excellence. Advancement brings together professionals in marketing, communications, alumni relations, and development to lead these efforts across the Urbana-Champaign campus.

Organizational Relationship and Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Principal Gifts Stewardship and Operations, the Coordinator/Senior Coordinator of Principal Gifts, Communications will contribute to stewardship activities for individual and organizational major and principal gift donors to the University of Illinois, with a focus on the content creation and design of communications. The Coordinator/Senior Coordinator of Principal Gifts, Communications will work collaboratively with the Office of the Chancellor, the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF) leadership, Chief Advancement Officers (CAO\'s) and other advancement program staff to develop creative elements for stewardship assets that accurately inform, engage, and benefit the university\'s most loyal and generous donors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with units/departments to conceptualize, gather, and create content for custom digital publications for principal gift donors (i.e. impact reports, emails, print assets) and other stewardship-related deliverables in a variety of digital and print forms, including web-based platforms like WordPress.

Develop visual media and graphic design elements to create publications or web pages for principal gifts donor

Contribute to the development of the principal gift milestone giving and donor recognition programs to recognize donor accomplishments on behalf of campus and the Chancellor

Establish project timelines, coordinating communications projects from concept to completion, properly tracking and documenting project progress and donor engagement data throughout and post-completion

Senior Coordinator will support the Director of Stewardship and Operations in establishing and managing special projects as it relates to donor cultivation, stewardship, and engagement.

Assist in the gathering of content and graphic development for stewardship collaterals.

Support colleagues in the execution of milestone giving and donor recognition programs.

Begin to build templates and processes for stewardship.

By the end of your first year, you\'ll:

Develop impactful stewardship collateral for donors and prospects in collaboration with advancement colleagues across campus.

Collaboratively manage the office\'s donor milestone giving and donor recognition programs.

Cooperatively set annual goals with your supervisor.

Receive one-on-one coaching from Talent Management to help your transition to your new role.

Build a robust network of colleagues across campus.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
