McKinley Health Center aims to provide high-quality ambulatory healthcare and health education to students and medical expertise to University leadership. Our staff works on campus with an academically talented and ethnically diverse student population, including international students totaling 22.2 percent of the total student population, 18.8 percent for Asian American students, 11 percent for Latinx/e students, 5.0 percent for African American students, and 3.2 percent for multiracial students, with a total enrollment of over 56,000 students.
Job Summary
Supports decision-making, strategic planning, and assessment as a member of the Student Affairs Assessment and Planning team. Primarily assigned to Auxiliary and Health and Well-being units and provides direct support for McKinley Health Center.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in compiling, cleaning, managing, documenting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to inform practice and decision-making.
- Assist the Director in the development of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support planning and decision-making.
- Coach assigned Student Affairs units in assessment planning, survey design, student learning outcomes, and evaluation techniques.
- Lead efforts to streamline data collection and reporting for assigned units and serve as a liaison to Student Affairs Technology to ensure ethical integration of campus data.
- Assist assigned Student Affairs units with strategic planning, goal setting, and annual reporting.
- Represent Student Affairs on campus committees as assigned.
- Serve on the Student Affairs Assessment Committee and promote a culture of assessment for Student Affairs units. Serve as co-chair and/or subcommittee chair as needed.
- Assist with the Student Affairs Research Approval (SARA) process.
- Supervise student interns as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor\'s degree in higher education, educational research, statistics, social sciences or a related field.
Experience:
- One (1) year of work experience in assessment and evaluation in a higher education environment.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more quantitative analysis software packages (such as, but not limited to, SPSS, SAS, Stata, R).
- Experience with dashboards or data visualization.
- Experience providing training on assessment, evaluation, and/or strategic planning topics.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Master\'s or Doctoral degree in higher education, educational research, statistics, social sciences or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience with Qualtrics.
- Proficiency with SPSS.
- Proficiency with Tableau
- Effective interpersonal and team-building skills.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/16/2025. Salary is set at \$60,000.
