Job Summary
Assist with all on-campus activities of student-athletes in the football program.
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruiting
Advise on special eligibility requirements, particularly as it pertains to NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules and regulations;
Direct each recruit through the admissions cycle;
Coordinate, review and advise department staff on transferability and applicability of non-University of Illinois courses that may affect ongoing requirements;
Oversee and manage the recruiting board for the offensive or defensive side of the ball;
Coordinate communication with high school recruits and high school coaches to obtain questionnaires; and
Assist in the correspondence with high school coaches for camps, clinics and general correspondence.
Official and Unofficial Visits
Work with the General Manager and potential transfer student-athletes to obtain copies of current transcripts, test scores and compliance documentation per the NCAA rules;
Assist with travel arrangements for all potential recruits, including flights, airport transportation;
Arrange and direct campus tours for recruits during visits;
Account and accommodate for all guests of recruits;
Develop itineraries for visits;
Complete necessary compliance requirements for all visits;
Assist in the management of student work for visits;
Assist and direct communication elements between coaches, recruits and their guests;
Assist with all ticket requests in conjunction with visits for recruits, parents or legal guardians, student-athlete(s) and recruiting coaches; and
Correspondence with recruits prior to visits.
Admissions
Follow up with Compliance Office on each signee;
Works with compliance office staff to determine NCAA initial eligibility for each recruit;
Review preliminary transcript evaluations of high school and transfer prospects; and
Assist in the collection of documents required to certify the eligibility of students who transfer to the University.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Required - Bachelor\'s Degree Preferred - Master\'s Degree Experience: Required - At least one-year prior experience working with a college or professional team as a player or personnel Preferred - Prior football administrative experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 3/17/2025. The minimum salary for this position is \$55,000 and the salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
