Clickstop Logistics Analyst Intern in Urbana, Iowa

As a Logistics Analyst Intern with our Freight team, you will be making a real difference in how we deliver on brand promise for our customers!

This contributor will provide the needed support for our Freight team in their capacity for data analysis. They will help identify cost savings opportunities and strategies around increasing the speed at which we can deliver on our brand promise across four of our five unique brands. (https://clickstop.com/the-work-we-do/our-brands/) This role also provides necessary support for freight to operate efficiently as a shared service team to ensure requests are answered in a timely manner. Program Highlights:

  • Dates: May 26 – August 8, 2025 (flexible)

  • Type: Internship, full-time, non-benefits eligible

  • Hours: Flexible, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Pay: $15 per hour, based on experience

    In order to be considered for a remote role at Clickstop, residence must be in one of the following states: Iowa, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada or Florida.

This role is designed to be hybrid, with weekly onsite requirements in Urbana, IA or Simpsonville, SC.

What you’ll be doing:

    Freight Management

  • Analyzing freight data to optimize routing, pricing, and delivery efficiency across various transportation modes.

  • Tracking and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery (OTD), cost per shipment, and claims resolution time, providing insights for continuous improvement.

  • Supporting day-to-day operations by providing data analysis for escalated tracking and developing insights for special freight quotes, helping to identify the most cost-effective solutions.

    Collaboration and Communication

  • Cross-functional support responsibilities

  • Assisting with claims management during peak times by leveraging data insights to identify patterns in claims and suggest preventive measures.

  • Providing negotiation support to the Freight Director with rate reviews and contract adjustments by highlighting market trends and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Openly discussing and relaying information with stellar follow-up and execution.

  • Supporting the Compliance Manager in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements as needed.

    Strategic Driver

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements through trend analysis, leveraging data to enhance efficiency and cost control across the freight network.

  • Collaborating on strategic projects with the DFO and Freight Director to evaluate potential new carrier partnerships or logistics technologies.

  • Driving data transparency and accessibility: developing dashboards and reporting tools that enable the team to monitor performance in real time and respond quickly to changing conditions or customer demands.

    This is a paid hourly, 40 hour per week summer intern position that will be hybrid with some onsite requirements at our headquarters in Urbana, IA . Flexibility in scheduling is available for this position Monday-Friday .
