Amergis Lead Pre-School Teacher in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
Lead Pre-School Teacher (Part Time & Full Time Openings)
Position Details:
2 Full time lead teachers (1:10 or 1:12 student ration)
1 Full time assistant teacher (1:6 student ratio)
1 Part time after care teacher
Ages 6 weeks to 11 years old
Hours can be as early as 6:30am starts and 6:00pm ends
Wednesday Starts
Shadowing and in-classroom training first day/week
Duration - 6 months
Hours - 35 per week
Start date - 12/9 or ASAP

Responsibilities:
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected
Implement creative and engaging teaching strategies to enhance learning and encourage critical thinking
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to ensure the holistic development of each child
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents about their child's growth and development
Requirements:
High school diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education
State teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification
Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to think creatively and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning.
