JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://www.cee.psu.edu/) at The Pennsylvania State University seeks applicants for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position. The successful candidate will conduct research under the broad topic of water quality. In addition, the Postdoctoral Scholar will support faculty to conduct research and train students in proper laboratory techniques and health and safety within the shared facilities of Environmental Engineering. Penn State offers a dynamic research environment, providing access to world-class facilities and resources.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The Postdoctoral Scholar must have a PhD in environmental engineering or a related field by the appointment start date. Laboratory experience related to measuring concentrations of chemicals in air and water on instruments such as ICs, GCs, HPLCs, and organic carbon analyzers is required. The successful candidate will have good evidence of research experience based on publications on these topics or related topics in peer-reviewed journals. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with analytical techniques used in the laboratory.
